Improper tire inflation is the leading cause of commercial truck tire blowouts and failures. Underinflation causes fleets to prematurely pull tires out of service, while overinflated tires are prone to irregular wear and compromised sidewall strength. Problems also arise when tread depths are mismatched and when fleets mistakenly use the wrong tire for the application, which leads to poor performance and potential hazards on the road.

An Overview Of The TPMS And ATIS Offerings
In 2018, P.S.I. added the TireView TPMS to its tire inflation offerings. According to P.S.I., TireView options include a standalone solution for the truck and tractor market; solutions for trailers as an enhancement for P.S.I.’s automatic tire inflation system (ATIS) for trailers or as a standalone; and an optional flow-thru kit, which enables the sensors to remain mounted to the axle during routine tire maintenance while still providing damage protection and theft resistance, according to the company.

Pressure Systems International Recognizes Top Trailer OEM’s with 2019 Annual Awards
Those manufacturers recognized for achievements in 2019 are:
-Great Dane – Momentum Award
-Kentucky Trailer – Excellence Award
-Landoll – Momentum Award
-Stoughton Trailers – Excellence Award
-Strick Trailers – Momentum Award
-Wabash National – Excellence Award
Adapting to the current challenges, awards were presented using video meetings with as many as ten various participants. During the online meetings, P.S.I. representatives recognized the commitment and contributions each trailer OE has made in promoting technology that enhances customer satisfaction, and further growing MTIS’ premier position in the industry as the most popular automatic tire inflation system.

San Antonio, TX (September 1, 2021) Pressure Systems International (P.S.I.) is pleased to announce that Kellie Taube has joined their sales team as sales director for the Northeast region and key accounts.
Taube is an experienced engineer with more than twenty years in manufacturing sales, management, and operational transformation. Her background includes technical sales, customer service and hands-on solutions with products such as test and measurement equipment and industrial finishing processes for the truck and trailer industry. Her career includes employment with top/Fortune 500 companies such as General Motors and Nalco.

“When you look at where fleets are going today, a lot of them are trying to take the drivers out of the equation when it comes to maintenance,” explained Steve Miller, vice president of engineering, P.S.I. Pressure Systems International recognizes top trailer OEMs
Pressure Systems International (P.S.I.) has recently recognized six trailer manufacturers for the role each played in 2019 to increase the number of trailers outfitted with the Meritor Tire Inflation System (MTIS), which is manufactured by the company.
P.S.I. designated two types of awards to be presented this year: The Momentum Award given to those trailer manufacturers who have achieved the largest year-over-year gain in MTIS new trailer installations and the Excellence Award recognizing the companies that have the highest penetration of MTIS use for the trailers they manufacture.

AN ANTONIO, Texas – Pressure Systems International (P.S.I.) has awarded six trailer manufacturers for their role in advancing the penetration rates of its Meritor Tire Inflation System.
Momentum Awards, given to those achieving the largest year-over-year gain in installations, went to Great Dane, Landoll, and Strick Trailers.
Excellence Awards, for those that have the highest penetration of the system for the trailers they produce, went to Kentucky Trailer, Stoughton Trailers and Wabash National.

TireView.com, the website dedicated to the Pressure Systems International (P.S.I.) tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), TireView™, and data analytics platform known as TireViewLIVE™, has been updated with additional resources for the OEM, dealer and fleet.
Full, comprehensive and updated installation information and a troubleshooting Q&A for TireView and TireViewLIVE are now available on the resource tab of TireView.com along with complete parts manuals for both products. All manuals can be viewed online or downloaded in PDF format for easy reference when needed. The TireView product is an open platform, and this site includes a list of its integration partners that can be used to consolidate tire data through a single gateway.
