The Stoughton Smart Chassis, developed in collaboration with the Clarience Technologies Team of Companies, demonstrates how sensor integration and advanced data networks can enhance future trailer connectivity. The demonstration unit featured a variety of sensors, including P.S.I.'s ATIS and TPMS tire management systems.
Considering the fleets biggest expenses are tires and fuel, tire management systems are probably going to have the quickest ROI, and in some cases have been known to save enough money within a year to pay for the technology.
